The Tiesco Del Rey is a 60’s guitar that was George’s first electric guitar. He played this one with his high school band “Tungus Grump” through a “Kay” amplifier. Eventually, in a ridiculous attempt at “improving” the instrument, George strapped the guitar into a vise and took a metal file to the frets, destroying the playability of the guitar forever. He replaced the original Japanese pick ups with even worse sounding Japanese pick ups. He also repainted it red and took a saw to the body to create a more aesthetically pleasing shape. What an idiot. If the guitar had been kept in its original condition it would be worth about $1,000 today. It is now virtually worthless.
